Ban-risk and rate-limit safety on Pinterest

Humanized posting delays

Pinterest rewards steady daily pinning over bulk dumps, which the calendar spreads automatically.

Official API only

Pinterest API v5 via official OAuth 2.0 (pins:write). No scraping, no session cookies, no unofficial endpoints — the practices that actually get accounts suspended.

Compression before upload

WebCodecs re-encodes on your device — a 100 MB clip becomes roughly 12 MB — so Pinterest uploads finish fast and stay inside its size ceiling. Try the compressor.

Pinterest publishing questions

Specifics about limits, media and compliance when GentoPost posts to Pinterest.

What Pin description length does GentoPost target?

500 characters, with up to five hashtags — the composer trims the shared draft to fit without cutting mid-word.

Does GentoPost crop images to Pinterest's 2:3 ratio?

Yes, the preview shows the 2:3 crop before you publish so nothing important is lost at the edges.
